The Chronicles of Narnia:
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

This movie looks good. Even though Disney is doing it. It looks really good.

Everyone, pull out your Chronicles and re-read so we can be sharp on how accurate this theatrical re-telling is.

Get your tickets as soon as you can. And be in the theater on December 9th.

From reading the material on narnia.com, it seems that Disney is completely ignoring the spiritual implications of Lewis's epic. They say he simply "created the Land of Narnia, a land populated with a rich diversity of beings, some very like their counterparts in our world, some derived from his knowledge and love of myth and fairy tale, and some...purely his own invention" (narnia.com). I'm watching and waiting to see if they have left the story intact (therefore retaining the Christian allegory) or omitted any of the crucial parallels. They are what make the stories great, and if this movie will live up to my expectations, I'm already a fan.
