Focused on the goal but aimless...

I am this || close to complete social breakdown.

I also have made achievements that seem empty as ends in themselves. They used to be means to an end, and now they're all I have left.

Perhaps if you lower your standards and goals in life, those things that used to be strictly means will now become the ends in themselves. :) Just kidding man, you'll be fine. Buck up kid!

Not sure I know what you are talking about - except to say this:

Hang in there, kid.

Here's a great book you should read.

Okay, that was me getting you back for your April Fool's joke. Yes, I fell for it.

Your achievements are still means, just not the means you intended. Planned or not, they have gotten you to where you are. Stop and ask God why you're where you're at. Look for what He is teaching you.

In the words of Mr. Charlie Peacock:

"You've got to open up the windows and let the wind blow through
You've got to let it blow through you and me and everybody in between
It seems we've suffered one too many dreams
Of things that weren't so bad, it's just
They were never things that we could trust
We will release them as they turn to dust...Are we still pretending they're enough?"
