Palmeiro Tests Positive

It's happened again. But this time, it's harder.... On July 16th, Raphael Palmeiro scored his 3,000th and 3,001st career hits, placing himself 25th on the all-time list. (Read the article here.) And he had a spotless record before today. Even when he was called to testify in his defense,

...on March 17 during the House Government Reform Committee's hearing on steroids on Capitol Hill...He pointed his right finger at legislators and said, "I have never used steroids. Period." (washingtonpost.com)

But now nobody's sure. Palmeiro was "suspended for 10 days Monday for violating baseball's anti-drug policy" (washingtonpost.com).

You say it was an accident, and you never used steroids intentionally. And, yes, Raffy, we'd like to believe you. For the sake of the game.
